-tances represent a money loss of £450 1.e. 44 months'

full pay,

and I am prepared to approve of at least a

portion of this sum as bonus in lieu of leave if it is

recommended by the Consulting Engineers.

deserving cases usual in connection with private under-

-takings of the nature of the Railway.
